About

Tricia Miller is a Houston-based Licensed Professional Counselor in private-practice and Owner of Memorial Counseling Center where she specializes in helping high-functioning adults who experience Anxiety, Mood Disorders, Relationship Concerns and Grief/Loss. She attended the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate degree in Business and then pursued her Masters in Counselor Education at the University of Saint Thomas. Prior to her work in private practice, Tricia served as a long-time Educator working with college-bound students in secondary education in both private and public settings. Many of her students came from first-generation households. Tricia has enjoyed working with clients that represent the cultural diversity of Houston.

In 2014, Tricia began her clinical work as one of the Founding Clinicians with the Center of Postpartum Family Health (CPFH) where she helped Mothers who experienced mood disorders, PPD and other maternal mental health concerns. Tricia enjoys being connected with her community as she has served on the Houston Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (HAMFT) board and currently leads an ongoing Peer Consult Group. Tricia has also enjoyed presenting on AAPI Mental Health. In November 2021, she facilitated a mental health presentation at the Texas Counselor Association annual conference: Hear Our Stories: Understanding AAPI Cultural Beliefs & Values and the Impact of Mental Health. Also, in January 2022, Tricia facilitated an AAPI Mental Health presentation in the greater Houston area with HAMFT. Outside the therapy room, Tricia loves time with her family—keeping up with her two boys, enjoying Houston’s food scene, working out at the gym and laughing with friends.
