My name is Lauren Torres Funiestas: 2nd generation Pinay-American mother + sexual assault survivor.
I am a Licensed Psychotherapist, Spiritual Counselor and Manghihilot in training. Manghihilot is a practitioner of Traditional Filipino Healing Arts that incorporates precolonial practices of mind + body + spirit healing.
I specialize in working with Asian American, Pacific Islander and Native identified folks. Much of my work focuses on transgenerational healing and working through unhealthy behavior patterns and coping strategies that you may have learned from your caregivers. These patterns may show up for you in your relationships, at work or in your social circle. I can work with you to dismantle internalized systems of oppression, incorporate spirit into your healing and help you to release emotional tension from your body.
