About

My Name is Krystel Marie Nola Jurovcik, but you may call me Krystel. I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy with 7 years of experience treating neuro-musculoskeletal issues in people of all ages and genders. I’m a certified pelvic health therapist specializing pelvic floor dysfunction. Common issues we address in pelvic floor rehabilitation include painful intercourse, urinary frequency (having the urge to go too frequently) , urinary incontinence (leaking), constipation, anal incontinence (gas or fecal), pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, low back/hip pain with activity, and pain during/after pregnancy. Many of these issues are common, but that does not make them “normal”. Stress, trauma history, diet, and past injuries often have an impact on pelvic floor dysfunction. I create individualized plans to address each person’s specific needs. Habit re-training, guided meditation, changes in diet, exercises, and stretches can all have a huge impact on pelvic health. I’m a 200hr Certified Yoga Teacher and often use the practice of yoga to create fun and effective routines for pelvic health.

I’m also very closely aligned with Veterans. I was an intern at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where I cared for wounded warriors, aging veterans, and their families. I currently have several close family members serving in the US Armed Forces, and I understand some of the unique challenges that they face.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my 3 year old son, JJ and my husband who is a Family Medicine Physician and Medical Acupuncturist. You can usually find us listening to podcasts, nerding out over anything health and wellness related, doing yoga as a family (yup, we’re those people lol), cooking, mixing up craft cocktails, or driving to visit the nearest coastline.
