About

My practice centers Women of Color and is rooted in nature, attachment theory, and deep mindfulness from a decolonial perspective. My background is in working with clients who have survived intimate partner violence, and childhood abuse and neglect. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-I) and Certified Brainspotting Practitioner, which helps inform the work I do to support survivors of complex trauma. I received my Masters in Social Work at The Catholic University of America. I am also trained in Reiki and Hilot.

I identify as a progressive, including around issues that affect Filipinos in the Philippines. I value the abolitionist-informed and anti-oppressive positions of mutual aid, community care, and decentralization of services over policing. I incorporate the work of Tricia Hersey of The Nap Ministry, Sonya Renee Taylor, and adrienne marie brown in my personal and professional life to unlearn the harms of grind culture, colonial mentality, ableism, the patriarchy, and white supremacy, and reconnect to my inherent wisdom so as to help others do the same. As someone who experiences chronic illness, I also value disability justice. I center humor, pleasure, and boundaries to help me and my clients connect more deeply with our intuition. In addition to those in my community who I feel supported and loved by, I also turn to and receive care from my animal and nature kin, like my sweet, spicy, and floofy cat, Annie, and the various trees, flowers, and animals that are in or around my neighborhood and beyond.

My ideal client: 1) wants to or is curious about connecting to their racial, cultural, and or ethnic roots outside of white supremacy and the patriarchy, 2) is open to talking about the impact of systemic oppression, 3) appreciates exploring their relationship to nature and spirituality, the metaphysical and mysterious, 4) open to my relaxed, conversational, and sometimes humorous therapeutic approach (as opposed to a highly structured approach with exercises and homework).
